Racing Qualifying
This year the Australian Drone Nationals will be continuing to grow and expand. From our previous cap of 64 pilots we’ll be increasing that number to 96 maximum entries for the racing category.
The first spot will be reserved for last year’s overall champion, Daniel Ayre.
During the qualifying period there will be 16 major qualifying events at clubs all over Australia and New Zealand. The top 3 pilots at each major event will be awarded a qualifying spot for a total of 48 spots on offer.
The remaining spots will be awarded based off the lap times set during official qualifying events, with all times being recorded on an overall leaderboard. The first 47 spots will receive a first round offer to confirm a qualifying spot. As pilots confirm or deny their spots based on their availability, qualifying spots will be re-awarded continuing down the list until there are 96 pilots confirmed.
All qualifying events will be held using the Official 2019 Qualifying Track!

4 – Do your thing with your quad.

Entry form link here: https://forms.gle/
We want to see the raw (HD ideally) footage.
The video itself needs to be:
– Filmed for the purposes of this qualifier (don’t recycle old footage, that’s why we’re doing the “show the picture” thing)
– Approx 2 minutes in duration (1min30 – 2min30)
– Contain no cuts / editing (you can trim the start / ends if you like)
– Contain no added music
Entries close on 31/08/2019. Videos will be scored by the committee and the BEST 16 pilots will be offered to compete at the main event. Good luck!
