Australian Drone Racing Championship
The competitor guide
The Australian Drone Racing Championship is a national leaderboard built from sanctioned events run by clubs around Australia. You don't sign up for it. You race at sanctioned events, and your results count automatically, as long as the four things below are right.

Make sure your results count
- Have an AUFPV account. If you've registered for an event on the platform you already have one.
- Be a member of an AUFPV affiliated club. Your membership must be current on the day of each event and recorded on the platform. Check it on your account page under Membership.
- Use the same pilot name everywhere. Set your pilot name on your account and use it at every event, so all your results land in one place.
- Register for the event on the platform. That way the host club can link your result to your account. If it isn't linked, or your membership isn't recorded yet, your result is still kept and your points are held until it's sorted out.
Find a sanctioned event
Sanctioned events are listed on the ADRC page with their tier. The tier tells you how many points are on offer:
- Tier 3 — circuit events, 16 or more pilots. A win is worth 50 points.
- Tier 2 — series events, 32 or more pilots. A win is worth 75 points.
- Tier 1 — major events, 48 or more pilots. A win is worth 100 points.
- The Australian Drone Nationals — the season finale. A win is worth 150 points.
Every class scores on the same leaderboard. If you race two classes at one event, both results count.
After the event
The host club submits the results and AUFPV checks them. Your points appear on the leaderboard once the results are verified, which can take up to a week for a Tier 3 event.
Each event decides its final placings, and your points come from where you placed. The event's results page shows your placing, and the leaderboard shows your season total and your points from each event.
Something looks wrong?
If a result or your points look wrong, talk to the host club first. Most problems are a result linked to the wrong account or a missing membership.
If it's still not right, email AUFPV at info@aufpv.org.au within seven days of the results being published. Say which event, which class and what you think is wrong.
Common questions
Do I need to enter the championship?
No. Racing at a sanctioned event is enough.
I'm visiting from another club.
That's fine. Any AUFPV affiliated club counts, not only the host club.
What if two pilots finish the season level on points?
It only matters for the title. If two pilots are level at the top when the season ends, the Champion is the one with more event wins, then more 2nd places, then more 3rds, and so on.
Does the ADRC get me into the Nationals?
No. Nationals entry comes from its own national time trial. The Nationals then scores triple points for the ADRC.
